Digital Systems 2 Lab

Objectives:

· Introducing FPGA chip and Mojo-V3 educational board

·  Xilinx ISE 14.7  software training and how to design and implement digital circuits with its help

·  Teaching digital circuit design schematically and VHDL hardware description language

·  The educational materials and the tests performed are as follows:

  • An overview of digital circuits
  • Getting to know Xilinx FPGA chips
  • Getting to know the schematic tool of Xilinx ISE 14.7 software
  • Familiarity with the structure of VHDL language and design of digital combined circuits at the gate level
  • Design of digital combinational circuits at the transfer level of stability (RTL)
  • How to simulate digital circuits with ISIM software
  • How to test a digital circuit with test bench coding
  • Getting to know how to describe synchronous sequential circuits
  • Getting to know how to describe the state machine
  • Digital counter design, from 0 to 9999
  • How to design memory

Laboratory equipment:

  • 6 RN-ARM training sets of Rayan Nick company for training ARM microcontroller and its related circuits with LPC1768 microcontroller product of NXP company

 

 

  • 4 sets of Mojo-V3 training board which has Spartan 6 LX9 chip and is programmed using a USB.
