4- Research projects/industrial projects (completed/in progress):

-Investigation and feasibility of using the capabilities of phasor measurement units (PMU) in improving the performance of distance relays of Khuzestan power grid transmission lines.

·         Employer: Khuzestan Regional Electricity Company

·         Steps and results:

•         Optimum placement of PMUs with the aim of fault visibility

•         Designing a three-layer wide area protection scheme for Khuzestan transmission network based on PMU data during faults.

•         Accurately determining the fault location in single-circuit, two-circuit, three-terminal transmission lines and simultaneous faults

•         Ability to distinguish between network stress and fault conditions·

-Investigating the causes of simultaneous disconnection of adjacent medium pressure feeders in distribution networks and providing a solution to solve the problem

·         Employer: Khuzestan Electricity Distribution Company

·         Steps and results:

•         Extensive and accurate modeling of distribution feeders in the investigated sample network

•         and model distribution network protection system

•         Simulating the phenomenon of simultaneous disconnection in feeders

•         Examining different solutions to solve the problem

•         Providing appropriate solutions based on a new protection algorithm and an adaptive change scheme of relay settings

•         Show the appropriate performance of the proposed solutions

- Differential protection design of two-circuit and three-terminal transmission lines with incremental mixed power method (supporting the master's thesis)
